Know what's really sad? The reason Rowlf didn't have any speaking parts until recently was that apparently, his personality was so close to Jims that no-one felt they could really replace him. Rowlf was kinda Jum's expy in the show and after he died, no-one felt they could take it over. So in a way, this character encapsulates who he was more than Kermit does.
